RARE    Fernand MARTIN le marchand d'oranges, " L'autopatte grand prix au Concours Lépine nouveau jouet automatique très amusant ", jeune homme noir souriant en tôle peinte, polo tissu jaune, pantacourt rayé rouge et blanc, il est articulé, assis à l'arrière d'un chariot d'oranges qu'il pousse avec les pieds, marqué " Bté SGDG France et Etranger n°138 F. M. DRGM 408-468 ", clef de côté, 4 roues tôle peintes rouge vif, mécanisme à réviser. L. environ 16 cm, ht 12, (manque le bonnet tissu rouge du jeune homme)

• Fernand Martin produced whimsical mechanical toys from 1878 into the eary 20th century, after which his firm was continued by Georges Flersheim and later Victor Bonnet

• This is an early version of L'Autopatte made and designed by Fernand Martin himself and is marked with the Fernand Martin logo printed on the seat. Later versions by Florsheim and Bonnet do not have the F.M. logo
